Renovation and rejuvenation of tea gardens in Iran
Minister of Jihad-Agriculture announced the allocation of 75
billion tomans for the renovation and rejuvenation of tea gardens during a trip
to Gilan province.
Seyed Javad Sadati-Nejad added that: 75 billion tomans has
been considered for renovation and rejuvenation of tea gardens.
He then continued
that seedling subsidies are dedicated to the subject and our special focus is
on this issue. He also mentioned that Noushineh tea factory has a capacity of
5,000 tons for operation, which is currently processing and packaging tea with
a capacity of 3,000 tons, and employment of 500 people has been provided
directly and indirectly in this complex.
Gilan province with a cultivated area of 21,000 hectares
of tea garden and production of 135,000 tons of green tea leaves ranked first
in the country.
