Razi Institute joins Iran official delegation at WOAH’s 92nd General Session
The Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute (RVSRI) is participating as part of Iran’s official delegation at the 92nd General Session of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), held in Paris from May 25–29, 2025.
The high-level assembly brings together global stakeholders to shape policies, strategies, and collaborative efforts in animal health.
According to Razi Institute’s Public Relations, the Iranian delegation includes representatives from the Iran Veterinary Organization (IVO) and RVSRI.
Dr. Moradi Bidehendi, Deputy of Research and Technology at RVSRI, reported that the first day’s proceedings included registration, introductory meetings, and the presentation of the summit’s official agenda. Regional commission meetings also commenced, with Iran engaging in both the Asian and Middle Eastern regional groups.
The event opened with speeches from WOAH’s Director General and President, setting the stage for in-depth discussions on key issues such as livestock vaccination policies, animal health strategies, and global disease control efforts. Over the coming days, technical sessions will address critical challenges—including logistical, economic, and health-related factors—in implementing vaccination programs worldwide.
Iran’s active participation underscores its commitment to strengthening international cooperation, advancing animal health standards, and contributing expertise to global veterinary initiatives.
