Start of production of western white shrimp in Bushehr
Shrimp Research Institute
 
 The
head of the National Shrimp Research Institute announced the beginning of a new
round of western white shrimp production at the Persian Gulf Research Station
of the National Shrimp Research Institute, based in Bushehr. In this regard,
Aghil Dashtiyan-Nasab, said: in order to have sustainable development and
reduce the risk of investment in the fisheries industry, breeding and breeding
of farmed shrimp species is still one of the research priorities of this
research institute this year.

 

 He also added that: Last
year, more than 7,500 pairs of producers were produced and delivered to the
shrimp farming industry, and this year, according to the plan, by increasing
the area under cultivation and adding new equipment, we intend to produce
10,000 pairs of producers.
The head of the country's shrimp research institute stated:
The new round of western white shrimp production with storage of 46,000 (shrimp
cubs) in the reservoirs of the Persian Gulf research station of this research
institute has been started on July 29th 2020.

These baby shrimps were prepared
separately from three breeding centers and stored for three days.
 It is worth mentioning
that Bushehr province ranks first in the production of farmed shrimp in the
country.
