Production of tomato and apple in the country

The CEO of the central organization of rural cooperatives of
Iran said: the estimates show the production of 6 million and 300 thousand tons
of tomato products in the country.

Mohammad Ali Tahmasebi in the coordination meeting for the
supportive purchase of tomatoes and industrial apples, said: Of the total
production of tomatoes in the country, about 600,000 tons is related to
greenhouse tomatoes, which there are no problems in this regard in terms of
export and sales market.

Referring to the export of apple to the markets of Russia
and the countries of the Eurasian Union, Tahmasebi continued: The production of
apple in the country is over four million tons and is one of the products that
has been exported in recent years. Last year, more than 700,000 tons were
exported, which more than 50% of which belonged to West Azerbaijan Province.
