Production of 400,000 tons of rapeseed in 2022

The Deputy Minister of Oilseeds Project of the Ministry
about the process of rapeseed cultivation in the fall of this year said: In the
fall of this year, 223,000 hectares of rapeseed were planted, of which 201,000
hectares are green.

Gholam Hossein Khodraei added: Out of the 223,000 hectares
of rapeseed, about 40,000 hectares are rainfed and the rest is irrigated.

The Deputy Minister of Oilseeds of the Ministry of
Jihad-Agriculture, regarding the conventional cultivation of rapeseed,
mentioned that: This year, eight oil producer companies on 60,000 hectares, out
of 223,000 hectares of rapeseed, have signed contracts with farmers.

 He spoke about the
benefits of conventional canola cultivation and added that: In addition to
reducing government financial and credit costs, contract farming increases
production performance because factories provide farmers with timely production
inputs and technical advice.
