Production of more than 14 million tons of wheat this year

According to the information center of the ministry of
Jihad-Agriculture, Mr. Abbas Keshavarz, announced on Thursday during his trip
to the province of Ilam on the sidelines of a visit to wheat and rapeseed
fields in the Abbas plain in Dehloran that: It is expected to produce more than
14 million tons of wheat in the country this year.

He then predicted to purchase 10.5 to 11 million tons from
farmers, and stated that: It is estimated that about 450,000 tons of rapeseed
will be produced in the country this year.

Mr. Keshavarz, referring to the fact that Ilam province has
a good position in wheat production, especially rapeseed and has performed well
so far, emphasized that: The rapeseed oil plant needs to be established in the
southwestern part of the country.
