Operation of a refinery for the production of standard
materials for medicinal plants

Mohammad Hasan Asareh, in an interview with our
correspondent, he added that: The idea of ​​setting up a raw material
production refinery in compliance with the highest international standards was
formed by the private sector in 2018.  

The head of the Institute for Research and Certification of
Seeds and Seedlings pointed out that: According to estimates made, the credit
needed to develop the refinery in that year was estimated at about 500 billion
tomans.

 However, a refinery for the production of standard materials in the
field of medicinal plants has been set up in the first phase, and we hope that
it will be fully operational in the coming months.

The Secretary of the Office of Development of Science and
Technology of Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine of the Vice President
also announced the formation of a scientific working group to properly guide
the process of cultivation and production of modified cannabis in Iran and use
its industrial and medical benefits.

He also added that: Cannabis sativa is an ancient crop
native to Central Asia that, despite its importance, has been neglected by
researchers for years. He also mentioned that: By re-examining and
rediscovering the medicinal properties of cannabis, today this plant is among
the most important medicinal plants in the world, and has a great variety and
importance in industry and medicine.
