Acting Minister of Agriculture Emphasized the Observance of
Arbor Day

According to FRWO's website, Eng. Abbas Keshavarz, Acting
Minister of Agriculture said on Tuesday in a video conference with the
ministry's top officials and provincial Heads of Departments: "We have to
strive to preserve our national food security and remove any obstacles in the
way of our agricultural production."
He reiterated that the development of the agricultural sector
needs to strengthen the interaction between the ministry and the private
sector, so that all decisions to be taken with full consensus of the private
sector.
In closing part of his remarks, Acting Minister referred to
the issue of massive outbreak of desert locusts in the southern parts of the
country, and called for maximum counter measures to control the outbreak at the
earliest.
