Modern walnut orchard, rotary milking line launched in Zanjan
Zanjan - A modern walnut orchard and an advanced rotary milking line were officially inaugurated at the Khorramdareh Agro-Industrial Complex in the northwestern Zanjan Province during the Ten-Day Dawn (Fajr) celebrations, in the presence of Iran’s Minister of Agriculture.
As part of the minister’s visit to the province to inaugurate major agricultural and industrial projects, Gholamreza Nouri oversaw the launch of a modern walnut orchard cultivated with selected late-harvest domestic and international varieties.
“The orchard spans 310 hectares and has an annual production capacity of 2,500 tons. It is located within the Dasht-e Khorramdareh agro-industrial complex.”
At the same ceremony, an 80-stall mechanized rotary milking system was brought into operation at the complex’s improved dairy cattle unit, which has a total herd capacity of 7,200 head of cattle.
Developed using modern technologies, these projects are expected to boost productivity, reduce water consumption, improve product quality, expand employment opportunities, and strengthen export-oriented agricultural production in the region.
