Ministry buys over 4m tons of agro products under guaranteed
purchase mechanism

CEO of the Central Organization for Rural Cooperatives of
Iran Gholamreza Hadarbadi‌ said over 4 million tons of domestic agricultural
products have been bought so far by the organization at a guaranteed price in
the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 21).

“So far, we have managed to buy
4,082,571 tons of agricultural products including lemon, tomato, wheat, barely
and oil seeds at a guaranteed price,” Hadarbadi‌ said on Tuesday.

Over 6,000 tons of lemon have been also bought under the
mechanism from the provinces of Kerman

and Hormozgan in the past, he said.
