Minister: 3,200 agricultural projects inaugurated nationwide during Fajr celebration
Zanjan - Iran’s Minister of Agriculture announced the inauguration of more than 3,200 agricultural projects across the country during the Ten-Day Dawn (Fajr) celebrations, saying that the initiatives have created employment for approximately 92,000 people.
Speaking at a provincial meeting in Zanjan, Gholamreza Nouri said the projects were implemented with an investment of nearly 380 trillion rials, describing them as a significant boost to national production and rural employment.
Highlighting the role of producers and the private sector in ensuring the stable supply of essential commodities, the minister said that despite foreign currency constraints, sanctions, and security-related tensions, the country did not face food shortages at any point.
“Even for a single day, the country was not confronted with a shortage of food items,” he said, attributing effective market management to cooperation among citizens, producers, and the government.
In Zanjan Province, the minister announced the inauguration of nine key projects valued at nearly 30 trillion rials, activating substantial capacities in agriculture, livestock production, and greenhouse development.
Reaffirming the government’s position on supply stability, Nouri said there is no shortage of livestock feed inputs nationwide, noting that hundreds of thousands of tons are currently available for distribution.
