Minister of Jihad-Agriculture announced that: Iran is
interested in developing cooperation with UNIDO in order to improve the value chain
of the beekeeping industry

Seyed Javad Sadati-Nejad, the Minister of Jihad-Agriculture,
at the 19th General Assembly of the
United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), which was hosted by
Austria on the topic of creative economics for sustainable development, stated
that: The Iranian government, through developing communication infrastructure
in all cities and villages with more than 20 households , has created a
conducive environment for empowerment to develop creative economics and digital
technologies.

He also added that: In the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture and
in the framework of joint cooperation with UNIDO, the development of beekeeping
industry is pursued and this project through training and empowerment of beekeepers
in all parts of the country. Moreover, he mentioned that: This project tried to increase beekeepers'
familiarity with new production technologies and networking, and also new
products with high added value.

After expressing the interest of the Islamic Republic of
Iran in the development and continuation of cooperation with UNIDO in order to
improve the value chain of the beekeeping industry, Sadati Nejad also said: We
will especially support the promotion of new digital technologies for the development
of healthy and organic products and the further development of research and
creative development and branding of this industry.

According to the report, the General Assembly of the United
Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is held every two years on
various topics. This year, the summit is named after UNIDO's participation in
the International Creative Economy of the Year 2021 program for sustainable
development.

According to the UNIDO charter, the organization aims to
promote industrial development. UNIDO's independent activities include the
transfer of knowledge and technology and the education and training of experts.
In addition, UNIDO, as the central coordinator in Vienna, carries out the
industrial activities of the United Nations system and works closely with other
United Nations bodies, such as the United Nations Conference on Trade and
Development UNCTAD) and the Regional Economic Commissions.

The 19th UNIDO General Assembly was held from November 29 to
December 3, 2021 in Vienna, Austria.
