Tehran – Accurate and timely reporting by the media on the supply of essential goods and public livelihoods has played a vital role in maintaining social calm and reassuring the public amid wartime conditions, according to the Iranian minister of agriculture.

 

Gholamreza Nouri made the remarks on Saturday while visiting IRNA and touring various sections of the news agency's headquarters.

 

During the visit, he held talks with Managing Director Hossein Jaberi Ansari, along with other directors, editors, and journalists.

 

In the meeting, the minister provided a comprehensive overview of the status of commodity supply, strategic reserves, and market regulation.

 

Expressing appreciation for the dedication of journalists and staff in reflecting government services and informing the public under wartime circumstances, he emphasized that IRNA's cooperation and coverage — particularly during sensitive periods and major events — have significantly advanced the ministry's objectives and fostered public confidence, especially regarding the availability of essential goods.

 

Highlighting the government's broader efforts to serve the people, the minister added that precise and timely reporting by media professionals, particularly IRNA, on the procurement and distribution of goods has greatly contributed to preserving social stability. He noted that such reporting has reassured citizens about the state of strategic reserves and the continuity of production during the war.

 

Nouri stressed that effective media coverage has enabled the ministry, alongside the government, to carry out its responsibilities in ensuring food security and regulating the market efficiently — ultimately helping society achieve a sense of calm and reassurance.
