Launching the first phase of the integrated agricultural
information system in IRAN

The project manager of the integrated agricultural
information system said: This system will be set up to facilitate the flow of
information and the transfer of accurate, correct and timely information to
manufacturers, managers, planners and experts.

Mehrzad Kherad added: According to the plan of the
integrated agricultural information system, information and data of the
agricultural sector are collected, analyzed, stored and gradually shared in
this system.

He also mentioned that: This information includes items such
as spatial and descriptive information of farmland, orchards, livestock
production units, poultry, aquaculture, agricultural industries, greenhouses,
modern irrigation systems, agricultural market and production estimation
systems, infrastructure and research departments.

He at the same time stated that: Access to an integrated
agricultural information system for the target community will soon be defined
and made available to producers. Kherad also said that the Smart Agriculture
Monitoring Center is located in the Ministry of Jihad- Agriculture, and added
that: This center has modern hardware and software facilities and equipment’s,
and data analysis specialists in this center prepare and analyze the
information required by the agricultural sectors and provide it to the target
community through this system.
