Land consolidation must become a popular movement

that: Most farmers are unaware of the law and the need to implement it in the
country.
Therefore, it is necessary to put sufficient and continuous
awareness along with advertising on this important issue, even if it is costly
for the government. Kazem Khavazi, the Minster of Jihad-Agriculture, after
emphasizing on the importance of land consolidation, said: The law on integration
and prevention of fragmentation of agricultural lands is a complete law, but
its executive regulations do not have sufficient incentives.
He added that we need to strengthen incentives in the
executive regulations, and mentioned that: Unless the incentives are serious,
the farmer does not agree to land consolidation because he does not like
working with another farmer.
He also said that it is necessary to make coordination
within the agricultural family, and added that: All sectors involved in
agriculture should cooperate to provide incentives to farmers who are willing
to participate in land consolidation, and the priority of receiving incentives
should be with farmers who have participated in land consolidation.
