Issuance of quarantine licenses for the export of Iranian
agricultural products to Malaysia
During the meeting of Seyed Javad Sadati Nejad, Minister of
Jihad-Agriculture with Ms. D. Z. Qamruddin, Minister of Agriculture and Food
Indiustries of Malaysia, ways to expand economic, trade and technical relations
in the agricultural sector between the two countries were discussed. During the
meeting, Sadati Nejad stressed the need to expedite the issuance of health and
quarantine licenses to facilitate the export of Iranian agricultural products
to Malaysia.
The Minister of Jihad-Agriculture, while announcing the
readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to increase exports of various agricultural
products, especially apples, nuts and dairy and protein products, called
accelerating the issuance of health and quarantine licenses as a step to
facilitate Iran's exports to Malaysia.
Malaysian Minister of Agriculture and Food Industries, Ms.
D. Z. Qamruddin also mentioned the potential areas for enhancing agricultural
cooperation between the two countries and emphasized the readiness of her
government to increase the level of economic relations with our country.
At this meeting, it was decided that a joint roadmap and
action plan to implement the agreements reached between the ministers of the
two countries with the cooperation of all relevant governmental and
non-governmental sectors be developed and implemented with the approval of the
ministers.
