Iran-Norway cooperation to establish cage fisheries
settlements
According to the information center of the Ministry of
Jihad-Agriculture, Ali Ashraf Mansouri, at a joint meeting with our ambassador
at Norway, they discussed how to exchange information and collaborate on
technology transfer, training and development of fisheries activities,
especially the establishment of cage fisheries in our country.
He
described Norway as one of the leading countries in the development of
aquaculture and added: We welcome any cooperations with Norway to strengthen
the aquaculture industry and promote knowledge and technology within the
framework of the policies of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture and the Iranian
Fisheries Organization.
Mansouri also mentioned
that: Iran is highly prone to aquaculture in terms of access and ownership of
the Caspian, Oman and Persian Gulf seas, especially the establishment of shrimp
settlements on shores and fish in cages.
In this meeting, our ambassador to Norway, after describing
Norway's capacity as a leading country in the aquaculture industry, stated: He
will strive to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in the
framework of the protocols.
