Tehran – Organic Damask rose products from Iran's Fars Province have entered the European market after a producer in Sepidan County successfully exported certified organic products to France under an Iranian brand.

 

According to provincial agricultural officials, the producer converted seven hectares of Damask rose fields to organic cultivation and obtained internationally recognized organic certification, enabling exports of rosewater, essential oil, dried buds, and dried petals to Europe.

 

The project has created 10 permanent and 40 seasonal jobs while generating valuable export revenues for the country.

 

Fars Province, with 6,961 hectares under cultivation, is Iran's largest producer of Damask roses. Although Darab and Firuzabad are the province's main production centers, the crop is also grown across 25 other counties.

 

Officials said the successful export highlights the growing international demand for high-quality organic Damask rose products and underscores the importance of expanding certified organic cultivation to strengthen Iran's presence in premium global markets.
