Iranian-made vaccine among world’s top 5
An Iranian vaccine developed by the country’s Razi Vaccine
and Serum Research Institute has been named among the world’s top five

The PLOS One journal released an article on April 21 which
studies the latest progress made around the world on developing new generations
of COVID vaccines, Reza Banihashemi, Director for research and management
department at Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute, said recently.
Hundreds of intranasal COVID vaccine projects are underway
globally, 24 of which are at clinical trial stage, he said citing the PLOS
article, IRNA reported.
The official added that merely five vaccines are at their
final stage of being approved and used, including the Razi Cov Pars vaccine

Banihashemi said that three other vaccines from the top five
cited in the Plos article have been developed in Russia, China, and India,
while another one is being jointly developed by the US, Japan and the European
Union.
