Iranian Ministry of Agriculture releases guidelines on extraterritorial agriculture
Tehran - Iran’s Ministry of Agriculture has released a statement, providing details to individuals and entities interested in extraterritorial agricultural activities.
According to the statement published by the ministry’s official website recently, the announcement was issued in line with Cabinet decisions and the objectives set out in the Seventh Five-Year National Development Plan of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The ministry said it has established the necessary operational mechanisms to facilitate and expand overseas agricultural projects.
Based on the new guidelines, applicants and active stakeholders in overseas and extraterritorial agriculture may submit their requests, along with the required documentation, through the Extraterritorial Agriculture Management System (SAMAK), in accordance with the directive issued by the Minister of Agriculture. The system is accessible at https://sso.maj.ir/index.aspx.
The ministry added that the Secretariat for Extraterritorial Agriculture, housed within the Office of International Affairs and Specialized Organizations of the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as the Planning and Entrepreneurship Development Department of the Agricultural and Natural Resources Engineering Organization of Iran, are fully prepared to respond to inquiries and provide guidance to applicants.
