Iran seeking to carve out niche in Japan dairy market
In a new directive on Tuesday, Iran’s agriculture ministry obliged all its departments across the country to take necessary measures and prepare the ground for export of dairy products to Japan.
Seeking a niche in Japan’s market, the agriculture ministry on Tuesday circulated a directive instructing its departments to work on the preparations to export dairy products to Japan after the East Asian country included Iran in its list of authorized dairy suppliers.
According to the directive, the ministry is ready offer all-out support to all companies planning to supply dairy products, including powdered milk, to Japan.
Iranian agrifood exports have now expanded to cover markets outside of the region, including countries in East Asia, where demand for affordable high-quality Iranian products have increased in recent years.
