Iran ranks first in salmon breeding in the world
According to the information center of the Ministry of
Jihad-Agriculture, quoted by the public relations of the Iranian Fisheries
Organization, Dr. Nabiolah Khoun-Mirzaie stated: We are ranked third in the
world in sturgeon breeding after China and Armenia, and will be ranked 2nd in a
decade after China. Deputy Minister of Fisheries Organization of Iran has also
mentioned that: Iran has acquired the required knowledge and with outsourcing,
the private sector is now undertaking activities in the aquaculture industry.
He identified the variety of products in aquaculture caused
by localization of industries in the country and added: The technical knowledge
of this work and the training of efficient manpower and hardware
infrastructures, such as water and soil, civil engineering, engineering,
branding and packaging and processing have taken place over the past years on
the native route.
Khoun-Mirzaie talked about fisheries' superior advantage of
investment and profitability, and emphasized that: The manpower needed to
cultivate freshwater and saltwater aquaculture fish and shrimp in the cage is
ready to serve the industry.
