Tehran - Three shrimp farming projects were inaugurated at the North Rudshur site in Genaveh County, in the southern Bushehr Province, with a total investment of 760 billion rials.

 

According to the Public Relations Office of the Bushehr Provincial Organization of Agriculture, the projects were developed on a 61-hectare area and have generated direct employment for 38 local residents.

 

Aqil Amini said the projects were implemented as part of broader efforts to expand production, stimulate economic activity, and create sustainable employment opportunities along the province’s coastal belt.

 

Emphasizing the strategic role of the shrimp industry in Bushehr’s economy, the Director General of Fisheries of Bushehr Province stated that the targeted development of shrimp farming sites and support for private-sector investors are among the key priorities of the provincial fisheries authority.

 

He noted that steps are being taken to streamline administrative procedures and provide the necessary infrastructure to enhance production and productivity in the sector.

 

The official added that shrimp farming sites represent a major source of job creation, foreign exchange earnings, and economic growth for the province.
