Tehran – The 19th meeting of the "Food Security Assurance and People's Livelihood Improvement" working group highlighted the urgent need to support businesses, stabilize the national economy, address import challenges at border provinces, and provide working capital assistance to production units and economic enterprises under current wartime conditions.

 

During the session, participants discussed strategies for supporting those who have lost their jobs as a result of the war. Key topics also included speeding up the supply and procurement of essential goods and agricultural inputs, facilitating customs clearance for basic commodities, preventing shortages, monitoring prices, and allocating foreign currency for the import of essential goods.

 

The working group is characterized by its focus on immediate coordination between governing bodies and various ministries, its efforts to tackle economic issues with a view to lowering inflation, and its daily monitoring of the essential goods market.
