Iran date exports hit $205m amid growth in agricultural sector

Tehran - Iran exported dates worth $205 million in the past Iranian calendar year (1403, ended March 20), according to a report by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
The country’s agricultural exports saw significant growth, rising by 29% in value to reach $5.2 billion, while export volume increased by 11% to 7.6 million tons compared to the previous year.
Pistachios remained the top agricultural export, generating $1.5billion in revenue, followed by tomatoes($233 million) and dates ($205 million).
These three commodities were among Iran’s key agricultural exports during the period.
