Iran annual milk output stands at over 11.5m tons, official says

An official with Iran’s Ministry of
Agriculture put the country’s annual milk output at over 11.5 million tons.

“Over 11.5 million tons of milk are
produced in the country annually,” Mohammad Ebrahim Hassan-Nejad, the Iranian
deputy agriculture minister for livestock products, said recently.

He further put the annual production of red
meat in the country at 900,00 tons, noting that domestic production has played
a key role in improving food security across Iran.
