Iran, Syria discuss ways to boost agricultural cooperation
The Syrian Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform said
there is a large space for cooperation between Tehran and Damascus in the field
of agriculture, particularly in the sector of agricultural scientific
research.
The two sides should strengthen cooperation in key areas
such as agricultural scientific research, expertise exchange, and the
utilization of applied research outcomes, Mohamed Hassan Qatana said in a
Wednesday meeting with the Iranian Ambassador in Damascus, Hossein Akbari, SANA
reported.
He also emphasized the ongoing preparations for an
agricultural research conference.
Akbari noted that Iran has embarked on cross-border
agricultural initiatives, including projects in Africa, Iraq, and Latin
America, and expressed Iran's intention to invest in Syria to further
agricultural advancements.
