Iran and
Kazakhstan resolved to boost mutual ties: Official
Iranian Deputy Agriculture Minister Houshang
Mohammadi said Iran and Kazakhstan are determined to tap into their
potential to improve their bilateral relations.
“Iran and Kazakhstan seriously pursue the aim to utilize all
existing potential to develop their mutual ties,” Mohammadi said on Thursday attending
an expert session in Astana drafting the document of the 18th Iran-Kazakhstan
Joint Commission meeting.
“After the
presidents of the two countries stressed the need for further promotion of
age-old ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Kazakhstan, various
meetings were held [to pave the way for this summit],” he said.
The presence of state officials as well as representatives
from the private sector in the economic forum and the decision to sign a
cooperation document show the resolve and seriousness of the two nations to
further boost their ties, Mohammadi said.
“We are hopeful that the signing of the document by the two
ministers would prepare the ground for optimal cooperation between the two
countries in cultural and trade arenas,” the deputy minister said.
