Veterinarians’ teams from Iran and Iraq meet Tuesday, June 11^th 2019, at the sidelines of World Animal Health Organization (OIE).

According to the information center of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture,quoted by the Public Relations Department of the Veterinary Organization, in this meeting, the topic of mutual interests was discussed.

Dr. Alireza Rafie-Pour, Head of the Veterinary Organization of Iran, while pointing out Iran's capabilities in veterinary medicine and trade in livestock products, pointed to Iran's significant success in controlling avian influenza.He also added that: According to the principle of transparency, Iran has given a regular report to OIE, and now it has also announced the cleanliness of Iran from influenza to OIE.

In this meeting, the two sides emphasized on the importance of having joint health certificates for poultry products, dairy products, fish and egg products. 

Also, the two sides agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding in the near future to resolve the existing problems.

 

The Veterinary Board of Iran has had separate meetings with the veterinary teams of India, Turkey and Bangladesh.At a meeting of the veterinary committees of Iran and Turkey, cooperation on vaccine technology between the countries was discussed.

In this meeting, Iran called for full implementation of the signed health documents signed between the two sides, and the Turkish side also emphasized the pursuit of the issue and the resolution of existing barriers.

At the meeting with veterinary committees from Iran, India, and Bangladesh, development of veterinary relations and partnerships, especially in the area of meat, medicine and vaccine trade, was emphasized.
