Iran Razi Institute says ready to export products
abroad
The head of Iran's Razi Serum and Vaccine Research Institute
said the prestigious institute is ready to export its products and technical
and specialized services to global markets.
“We are ready to export our
products, expand our global market, and exchange our technical know-how in the
area of vaccine and biological-related products with other nations,” Ali Eshaqi
said last week addressing the opening ceremony of the Eighth International
Exhibition of Pharmaceuticals and Related Industries (IRAN PHARMA 2023) in
Tehran.
IRAN PHARMA 2023 was held at Imam Khomeini Grand Campus
(Mosala) in the Iranian capital on September 27-29.
He further thanked the organizers for convening this expo,
saying, “All domestic institutes and firms need to share their experience and
knowledge with each other and not limit themselves to their current knowledge
and explore new scientific areas”.
Eshaqi said over 97 percent of the medicines, including
specialized vaccines and biotic ones are made domestically, and we can export
them.
The head of the Food and Drug Administration said recently
that Iran had tripled exports of medicine with the pharmaceutical products
being exported to 40 countries across the world.
“The increase in medicine exports is
a sign of Iran's good interaction with neighboring countries. We hope to
develop the access of the people of the region to quality medicine at the G5
summit and regional cooperation," Heidar Mohammadi added.
According to the Food
and Drug Administration, some $60 million worth of medicine was exported in the
calendar year 1400 (March 2021-March 2022).
