Iran, fourth place in Kiwi production and its export: Kiwi
export values $ 97million
Deputy Minister of Horticultural Affairs of the Ministry of
Jihad-Agriculture announced: Iran holds the fourth position in
the world with an area of 12400
hectares under cultivation, and production of more than 362 tons of kiwi.
According to the
information center of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture, Mohammad Ali Tahmasbi,
stated that: Last year, with the export
of about 140,000 tons of kiwi, more than $ 97 million worth of currency
provided to the country.
Tahmasbi also stressed the need to maintain export markets
for kiwi products, and emphasized that: Farmers and organizations need to form
a production chain to market, use a conventional farming system and create
specialized funds.
