Tehran – Officials from Iran and Oman held a meeting to discuss boosting trade in the livestock sector, with a primary focus on increasing Iranian table egg exports to Oman.
Mohammad Ebrahim Hassan-Nejad, Iran's Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Livestock Production, and Ahmed bin Saif Hamad bin Ali Al Ameri, Oman's Director of Animal Health were present at the meeting.
During the talks, Hassan-Nejad highlighted Iran's significant capabilities in livestock production, urging greater bilateral cooperation to curb live animal smuggling across land borders and proposed establishing new livestock breeding facilities in Oman with Iranian private sector investment.
