Inauguration of 443 projects of conversion and food
industries in the country

Omid Gilanpour, Deputy Minister of Business Development of
the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture, at the inauguration ceremony of the national
projects of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture in the presence of the President,
regarding the opening of 443 food and processing industry projects, stated:
Ensuring food security as one of the important goals of the country's
development depends on paying attention to various circles in the agricultural
sector, including production, processing, storage and distribution of
agricultural products.

He then added: The FAO refers to this vital chain as the
farm-to-table chain, and the agricultural conversion industry is one of the
most important links in this vital chain, and investing in this sector has
multifaceted effects.

The Deputy Minister of Jihad-Agriculture emphasized: The
increase in the export of agricultural products from 4.1 million tons in 2013
to 8.8 million tons in 2020 has been due to the investments made in the
conversion and processing industries.

The Deputy Minister of Business Development of the Ministry
of Jihad-Agriculture also added: Today, 443 conversion and processing
industries projects will be inaugurated, of which more than 7,000 billion
Tomans have been invested, and one of the projects in Damavand is a cold store
with an investment of 19.8 billion Tomans, of which only 4.5 billion Tomans is
through bank facilities and the rest is provided by the investor.
