inaugurated on the verge of victory of Islamic Revolution.

projects will be inaugurated on the verge of victory of Islamic Revolution.
According to FRWO’s website, Dr. Massoud Mansour, Deputy
Minister and Head of FRWO congratulating the 43rd anniversary of the
victory of the Revolution and the commemorating the martyrs noted: "About
210 natural resources projects will be put into operation with a budget of 3900
billion RLs throughout the country on the occasion of the victory of the
Islamic Revolution".
Head of FRWO stating that the implementation of natural
resources and IWM projects is very important in preserving the country's water
and soil resources said: "These projects include Integrated Watershed
Management (IWM), aquifer recharge, flood control, desertification control,
forest development, rehabilitation of rangelands and conservation plans that
are carried out aiming at preserving water and soil resources, protecting
vegetation cover and preventing erosion and reducing damage caused by
drought and feeding aquifers".
Emphasizing the need for more public participation and
cooperation with the natural resources and watershed management,
he concluded: "FRWO hopes to take a big step towards developing the
natural resources and watershed management by involving people in the
implementation of these projects."
Mansour reminded that Iran is one of the with Low Forest
Cover Countries (LFCC) and through afforestation and measures such as
"Tree Planting Initiative" (Green National Initiative) in the future
will join the group of countries that have more than 10% of forest covers in
the world.
