Hatching rate of chickens sets record in north of Iran
Mazandaran - The head of the Mazandaran Agricultural Organization announced that 21.7 million chickens were hatched in the northern province, setting a new record in the country.
"Despite all the ups and downs in the supply and distribution of inputs, Mazandaran province has succeeded in hatching 21.7 million chickens in broiler chicken farming units,” Asadollah Teimouri Yansari said.
He added, "With this amount of hatching, the province's needs and part of the needs of Tehran and neighboring provinces for chicken meat will be met."
"Despite the minimal provision of inputs in the country and the province, the situation of broiler chicken production in Mazandaran is favorable,” Teimouri noted.
Teimouri further said that about 500 tons of hot, ready-to-cook chicken are sent to Tehran daily, which covers a large part of the capital's chicken needs.
