Development of 60,000 hectares of gardens on sloping lands
by the end of the 12th government



The head of the country's Forests, Rangelands and Watershed
Management Organization announced plans to develop 60,000 hectares of orchards
on sloping lands.



Masoud Mansour at the ceremony of exploiting the national
plans of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture stated: From the 2017 to the 2019
crop year, the development plan for rainfed orchards on sloping lands has been
implemented at the level of 61,000 hectares, as a result of which 20,000 direct
jobs have been created and production has increased by 183,000 tons.



He also told that: In the current crop year, this project
has been implemented at the level of 16,800 hectares, of which 14,000 hectares
are with tree and garden species, and 2,400 hectares are with medicinal plant
species, and as a result, 5610 direct jobs have been created and production has
increased by 48,000 tons.



He then mentioned that: Most of the 337 billion tomans of
investment for the implementation of these projects has been made by people and
NGOs.
