Desert Ecotourism Contributes to Natural Resources

Head of FRWO said: "Desert Ecotourism can play good
role in development of natural resources."
According to FRWO's website, Dr. Massoud Mansour, Deputy
Minister and Head of FRWO in the seventeenth session of the performance of the
executive plan of 2021 chaired by Massoud Mansour, held on Saturday at FRWO
Headquarters with the agenda of performance review of Natural Resources and
Watershed Management Department (NRWD) of Yazd province mentioned the use of
new and renewable energy such as solar energy and wind energy as one of
the basic strategies in supplying energy and reminded: "In a province like
Yazd, due to longer sunlight duration during summer, many sunny days and
seasonal winds, these conditions are favorable.
He pointed to the establishment of a station for measuring
and monitoring wind erosion and sand and dust storm with the participation of
the Research Institute for Dry and Desert Areas of Yazd University and said:
"This important measure to record wind erosion and data collected by these
programs which are largely to be utilized to inform wind erosion assessments
and management, is needed to be informed the public."
