Consumption of toxins is reached its minimum value in IRAN

Keikhosrow Changolvaie, in an interview, he stated that the
Plant Protection Organization has a duty to protect crops and horticultural
products from any complications and harmful factors, and mentioned that: On
average, 35 to 40% of crops in the world are damaged by harmful factors, and
there are 607 types of harmful factors including harmful insects, pathogens and
weeds in the world.

The head of the country's plant protection organization said
that the use of physical, integrated and biological control as much as possible
is one of the organization's approaches, and in chemical control, efforts are
made to use low-risk pesticides.

He said that: fortunately, the poison is used in a managed way
in the country and uncontrolled spraying has reached the minimum possible
value, and also added that: For each kilogram of products produced in the
country, about 0.35 grams of poison is consumed, whereas the average
consumption of poison in the world is 0.625 grams.

Also, the amount of toxin used per hectare in the world is
2.8 kg, which in our country is between 2.16 to 2.5 kg per hectare. The head of
the Plant Protection Organization said: The Plant Protection Organization dates
back to 91 years ago, and it goes back to the establishment of the locust
disposal office.
