Commencement of the construction of 125 agricultural town
plans in the country

Seyed Jamal Sajjadipour, CEO of the Agricultural Towns
Company, stated at the ceremony of launching the operation of the national
projects of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture, in the presence of the President:
The most important mission of the Agricultural Towns Company is to guide,
manage and develop agricultural infrastructure in the three areas of
greenhouses, fisheries and livestock, in order to regulate agricultural
activities in the form of specialized towns to move from traditional
agriculture to industrial agriculture with emphasis on creating a complete
production value chain and branding.

He then added: 295 settlements, including 249 greenhouse
settlements with an area of ​​11,900 hectares, which is equivalent to 50% of
the country's greenhouse area, 15 shrimp farming settlements with an area of ​​25,000
hectares, which is twice the area of ​​the current farms, and 31 livestock
settlements with an area of ​​1700 hectares.

The CEO of the Agricultural Towns Company predicted: by
exploiting these towns, 142 thousand people will be employed and 3 million and
800 thousand tons of agricultural products will be produced.
