Commencement of exploitation of 23,000 hectares of water and
soil resources development plan in border areas in Kermanshah and Ilam
provinces

 


Exploitation of 23,000 hectares of huge water and soil
resources development plan in border areas in Kermanshah and Ilam provinces
with a credit of 1773 billion Tomans and capacity of employing 9,200 people was
started by the Minister of Jihad- Agriculture and by Presidential decree.



Kazem Khavazi, the Minister of Jihad-Agriculture at the
ceremony of exploiting this project stated that: The executive operation of the
country's water and soil development plan in the western and northwestern
regions of the country on 227,000 hectares of land prone for agricultural
development in the border provinces of the country, with a credit of $ 8 billion,
was started in 2015 by the Ministries of Energy and Jihad-Agricultural.



He then continued: This project in three western basins of
the country, including Ilam, Kermanshah, Kurdistan and part of West Azerbaijan
province with an area of ​​112,000 hectares, and in Aras basin in Ardabil and
East and West Azerbaijan provinces with an area of ​​111,000 hectares, and in
the Atrak basin in Golestan and Razavi, North and South Khorasan with an area
of ​​4200 hectares, its operations are underway.
