Application of agricultural drones in Iranian agriculture:
Activity of 450 UAVs in the agricultural sector

Abbasi mentioned that: At present, about 450 UAVs are used
in the agricultural sector in various fields such as spraying, foliar spraying,
fog spraying, frost control, fertilizer spraying, remote sensing, imaging and
monitoring of agricultural performance.

Abbasi also stated that UAVs have greatly increased the
speed of operations in the agricultural sector, adding that a UAV can spray 50
hectares of farms in one day.

He then added that: UAVs are effective in the fisheries
sector and for fish farming in cages, as well as in forests and pastures for
firefighting, especially in impassible areas.

 Head of Agricultural
Mechanization Development Center, due to the emphasis and support of the
Minister of Jihad-Agriculture in the field of smartening the agricultural sectors,
mentioned that: we seek to develop technology, including the use of UAVs in
this area, and in the last three years we have been able to use about 63 UAV
models in the field of agriculture.

Abbasi also added that: China, the United States and Russia
are the world's largest UAV manufacturers in the world.
