Earning $ 3.4 billion currency in agricultural and food
exports in 2021

Mohammad Ghorbani estimated the value of agricultural and
food products exported during the first eight months of this year at $ 3
billion and $ 345 million. He then after referring to the five major export
items in terms of weight, said: During the mentioned period, 776 thousand tons
of watermelon, 553 thousand tons of fresh or chilled tomatoes, 470 thousand
tons of fresh or chilled potatoes, 456 thousand tons of fresh apples and 249
thousand tons of onions, shallots and garlic have been exported from the
country.

Deputy Minister of Planning and Economy of the Ministry of
Jihad-Agriculture, stating that 20 million and 724 thousand tons of livestock
inputs and basic agricultural goods have been imported to meet the needs of the
country, the value of this import is 11 billion and 528 million dollars. He
continued: During this period, the five major imported items in terms of weight
include: 6 million and 132 thousand tons of livestock corn, 4 million and 300
thousand tons of ordinary wheat, 2 million and 425 thousand tons of barley, 1
million and 794 thousand tons of soybean meal and one million and 734 thousand
tons of soybeans.
