and food exports in the first nine months of this year 2021

Mohammad Ghorbani, the Deputy Minister of Planning and Economy
of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture announced this news and told: 795 thousand
tons of watermelons, 617 thousand tons of fresh or chilled tomatoes, 598
thousand tons of fresh apples, 528 thousand tons of fresh or chilled potatoes
and 284 thousand tons of onions, shallots and garlic are among the five major
export items by weight during this period.

He also mentioned that: The five major export items in terms
of value include 738 million and 610 thousand dollars of pistachios, 288
million and 730 thousand dollars of fresh or chilled tomatoes, 185 million and
780 thousand dollars of watermelon, 185 million and 660 thousand dollars of
dates and 169 million and 140 thousand dollars of apple.

Ghorbani also stated that 23 million and 411 thousand tons
of basic agricultural products were imported to meet the needs of the country
during the mentioned period, and added that: During the first 9 months of this
year, the five major imported items in terms of weight include: livestock corn
with 6 million and 893 thousand tons, wheat 5 million and 28 thousand tons,
barley 2 million and 678 thousand tons, soybean meal 1 million and 971 thousand
tons and soybeans one million and 823 thousand tons.

The Deputy Minister of Planning and Economy of the Ministry
of Jihad-Agriculture stated that: In the livestock and poultry sectors during
this period 443 thousand tons worth 406 million dollars, fisheries 88 thousand
tons worth 159 million dollars, agriculture 4 million and 11 thousand tons
worth 1 billion and 409 million dollars, orchards 1 million and 707 thousand
Tons worth $ 1.877 billion of agricultural and food products were exported.
