A town producing agricultural biological materials will be
set up in IRAN

The Minister of Jihad-Agriculture said: We at the Ministry
of Jihad-Agriculture announce our readiness to set up a knowledge-based production
town for the production of agricultural biological materials.

Kazem Khazavi, the Minister of Jihad-Agriculture stated that: Vegetable and
cucurbits are among the basic needs of the country and their production in the
country reduces our dependence on imports. Khavazi added: In the meeting we had
with the Vice President for Science and Technology, it was decided that all the facilities and
financial supports needed for seed production would be provided by this Vice
President. He proposed to the Azad Islamic University that for farming skills
training, use farmers and residents around the villages so that the great goal
of training is not lost.

Referring to the importance of producing biological
materials, Khavazi said: We in the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture are announcing
our readiness to set up a knowledge-based production town for the production of
agricultural biological materials. He then added: Islamic Azad University is a
leader in seed production and has introduced 5 varieties of cucumber seeds, 4
varieties of tomato seeds, and 3 varieties of pepper seeds from hybrid seeds.
