Abbas Keshavarz, Head of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture,
who attended the first international dairy industry conference of Iran, said:
The breeding of native livestock and the use of technology have made progress
in the dairy industry.

 He then added that:
Currently, in some cases we are in a better condition than Europe in terms of
conversion factor, health and lactation, and we hope that development of this
industry grows continuously.

 He also mentioned
that: We have been in the dairy business in the last 8 years and some of our
industries have been in a very good shape. Moreover, so far, 800 tons of dairy
products have been exported, which valued around $ 700 million, which is a good
starting point for these industries.
