Ways to develop agricultural cooperation between Iran and
Russia

In the meeting of Seyed Javad Sadati Nejad, Minister of
Jihad-Agriculture, with Kazem Jalali, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of
Iran to Russia, which was held at the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture, ways to
develop agricultural cooperation between the two countries were discussed, and
also the need to solve the problem of transportation of agricultural goods,
especially perishable goods, and to use the capacity of transit of goods by sea
was emphasized.

In this meeting, the activity of exporters of agricultural
products to Russia in the form of union and branding of Iranian agricultural
products in order to supply through the network of chain stores of this country
was also stressed and it was suggested to establish an Iranian agricultural
goods terminal in Moscow.

Utilizing the capacity of the country's silos to import
wheat from Russia and processing and exporting it to other countries was
another topic discussed in this meeting.

At this meeting, it was decided that a delegation of actors
and activists in the field of agricultural trade from Iran and Russia in the
fields of cereals, meat, livestock quarantine and plant quarantine will meet
and discuss the development of cooperation.
