Major aquaculture complex in south to revolutionize Iran’s shrimp farming industry
Bushehr – A major aquaculture project in southern Iran is set to transform the country’s shrimp farming industry.
The “Daliran Aquaculture Breeding Complex” in Bushehr Province has been hailed as a landmark initiative that integrates advanced technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity in marine farming.
During a recent visit to the project site, Bushehr Governor Arsalan Zare emphasized the strategic importance of the complex. “This initiative marks a significant step forward in maximizing productivity within Iran’s aquaculture sector. It leverages modern technologies to create added value and improve efficiency in shrimp and aquatic farming,” he said.
Designed as a flagship project, the Daliran complex aims to modernize the fisheries sector through the application of cutting-edge innovations. Officials say the initiative will play a key role in supporting Iran’s blue economy strategy, boosting domestic production capacity, and positioning the province of Bushehr as a national hub for sustainable aquaculture development.
