Major agricultural projects to be inaugurated this week
Iran’s Agriculture Ministry announced that 43 development
and production projects worth 28.7 trillion rials will be inaugurated across
the country on the occasion of the Government Week (August 24-30).
Inaugurating these projects is set to create more than 2,070
job opportunities across the country and also save two million cubic meters of
water, Jebrael Baradari, the head the Agriculture Organization of Tehran
Province, said.
He added that the projects covered a variety of areas
including water and soil subdivisions, fishery as well as gardening and crop
production projects.
“With the implementation of these
projects, 3,000 tons will be added to the total tonnage of country’s
agricultural products,” Baradari said.
In the past forty years, since the Islamic Revolution, Iran
has witnessed a remarkable improvement in various sectors and the agriculture
industry has been one of the areas in which the country has undergone huge
development.
Revolutionizing the agriculture
industry through implementing billions of dollars’ worth of development,
research and educational projects across the country has been one of the main
reasons for the significant improvements in this sector in recent years.
