Iran-Germany cooperation on rapeseed and sugar beet seeds

Director of the Central Organization of Rural Cooperatives
of Iran announced the import of new varieties of rapeseed and sugar beet to the
country and said that: This was done with the support of the Ministry of
Jihad-Agriculture.

According to the information center of the Ministry of
Jihad-Agriculture, quoted by the of public relations of the Rural Cooperative
Organization, Dr. Hossein Shirzad added that: In the current crop year, the
Central Union of Rural Production Cooperatives, supported by the Central
Organization of Rural Cooperatives and the Ministry of Jihad-Agricultural, by
signing an executive, educational and research contract with the executors of
sugar beets and oilseeds of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture, to cooperate with
reputable European production companies to produce modern rapeseed and sugar
beet seed varieties.

 

He also added that: one of these companies is KWS company
from Germany, which we have signed a memorandum of understanding on the
transfer of three varieties of winter rapeseed, with the brand names of Gordon,
Umberto, Cristiano, and three varieties of sugar beet, with the brand names of
Akazia, Terranova, and Salama.
