Iran-Australia Cooperation on Smart Irrigation Technology
Deputy Minister of Water and Soil of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture
with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Australia emphasized on the
expansion of technical and professional cooperation of Iran with Australia in
water consumption management.
According to the information center of the Ministry of
Jihad-Agriculture, Aliromard Akbari, Deputy of Water and Soil of the Ministry
of Jihad-Agriculture, in a meeting which was held in Tehran with the Ambassador
of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Australia, pointed out that: Using
Australia’s experience in water consumption management in Rafsanjan pilot
project is necessary with the involvement of the private sector of both
countries.

fields, and added that: Iran and Australia need to expand their climate change
cooperation with emphasis on soil organic carbon and carbon sequestration.
